At CEEQ, our passion is developing and supporting sustainable inclusivity, unprecedented cohesion, and play in the workplace by centering empathy and emotional intelligence.

  • The Center for Empathy and Emotional Intelligence (CEEQ) was founded by Misha Safran, after years of study and impactful teaching on the importance of understanding how the elements of empathy and emotional awareness impact relationships at home, in the workplace, as well as in our schools and communities.

CEEQ strives to create better working relationships among teams and social circles, in addition to cultivating self-leadership for all. Centered on the foundations of CAPE©: Compassionate Communication, Assuming Positive Intent, Principles for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEAB), and Empathy before Accusation.

Our leadership and development trainings seek to improve open dialogue between team members, regardless of hierarchy, a sense of belonging and importance among each individual, and a deeper understanding of how empathy and emotional intelligence and mastery play a role in creating positive and joyful spaces to live and work.

Misha Safran (she/they) is a trilingual ICF Professional Certified Coach, International speaker, and award winning leadership trainer with a combined professional experience of more than 35 years.

Meet our founder

  • Misha’s infectious positivity, intuitiveness, and empathy create a brave space for leaders and teams to land softly while learning to navigate being uncomfortable as they develop new communication skills. She enjoys helping individuals, couples, organizations, and teams reset their mindset and empower their voices, resulting in renewed energy, enhanced problem-solving, creativity, and thoughtful communication.

Misha has dedicated her career to supporting students, school communities, business owners, and organizations in creating and sustaining successful learning opportunities and positive, inclusive relationships. Having taught in the public school system, she knows first-hand how powerful the impact of empathy and emotional intelligence has on developing working relationships with students and colleagues.

As a result of living with chronic pain, Misha also models the tools necessary to fully embrace the co-existence of life's challenges and joys. She's a single mother of three adult children, identifies as queer, a lifelong learner, singer, and songwriter, and is a co-host of a monthly webinar addressing systemic racism.
