Lisa Safran, President & Training Strategist

</p> <p>Lisa has over 15 years experience in training and development. Lisa believes that when it comes to training, ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL. She works collaboratively with her clients to support customizing training and coaching programs. Lisa has a background in theater and improvisation making “fun” an operative word when it comes to the programs she facilitates. Lisa Safran is the President and Founder of Safran Consulting and also the owner of Improv Consultants, providing experiential professional development training programs to individuals, businesses, and teams. As a training strategist, Lisa helps her clients strengthen communication & leadership skills, and develop healthier teams through training and team building programs. Lisa has had the pleasure of working with many cultures around the world and living overseas twice in her lifetime; so far. Lisa is the author of two books – Reading and Writing Come Alive and Executive Presence Improv Style. When Lisa is not working, she is working. But work for her is also play as she loves what she does – and there is also Nellie her adorable Maltipoo puppy who plays along side her.</p> <p>

Stephanie Ericson, Collaborative Assistant

</p> <p>Stephanie joined Safran Consulting earlier this year. She brings with her a wealth of expertise ranging from project management & organization to supporting and helping clients. Stephanie helps our teams get to the right place at the right time! She assists Lisa and as Lisa put’s it- “I’m so glad you are here!” Stephanie also has an adorable non-shedding dog named Milo who will often be with her when she is working at the office.</p> <p>

Chris Sams, Lead Training Consultant

</p> <p>Chris Sams delights in using improvisational theater technique as a trainer-facilitator to teach communication, adapting to change, creativity, innovation, situational leadership, presence, storytelling, collaboration, teamwork, and team building. Chris has led more than 150 workplace improv workshops and departmental events for more than eighty companies and corporate teams, including McKinsey & Co., Deloitte, ZS Associates, Genentech, Stanford University Graduate School of Business, UC-Berkeley Haas Center for Executive Education, UCSF Cancer Center, SAP, Gap, Facebook, Google, Salesforce, Yahoo!, and Virgin America. Chris served for eight years as Director of BATS Improv’s On-The-Go corporate engagement programs. Additionally, Chris has been coaching improvisation for adults at all levels, from foundational elements of improv principles and basics to advanced performance classes for actors in the Bay Area and beyond. He has been active with the Applied Improvisation Network since 2002, serving on the world conference steering committee in 2012. Chris is a Benjamin N. Duke Leadership Scholar graduate of Duke University.</p> <p>

Susie Sargent , Improv Training Consultant

Susie Sargent discovered and fell in love with improv 16 years ago and enjoys sharing her passion through training and performing. She has led workshops for schools and workplaces for various clients of BATS’ On-The-Go, BATS Improv’s corporate engagement wing. Whether teaching preschool students in Berkeley, elementary students in San Francisco, or software engineers in Mountain View, Susie likes working with a variety of students, whose diversity in backgrounds, ages, and interests make for wonderful improv adventures.<br /> A graduate of UC Berkeley in Psychology, Susie is an avid reader of psychology-related books as well as novels and enjoys using improv to create stories and encourage a love of reading. Susie loves surprising the audience and creating rich and diverse characters. She performs with various groups (Un-Scripted Theater, BATS Improv Cave Matches, How We First Met, etc.) and delights in bringing the skills of improvisation for the stage to large companies, small businesses, and schools for children of all ages.

Rish Sanghvi, Inspiration Consultant

</p> <p>Rish Sanghvi gets the fancy name of Inspiration Consultant as he is one of the first people Lisa brought on board when having a company was only a vision. He continues to be an inspiration and confidant who supports Lisa in moving this vision into newer and even more wonderful realities. Rish has spent over thirteen years working in business and consulting roles at biotechnology and technology companies, including several Fortune 500 organizations. He has facilitated strategy workshops, training programs, and leadership programs in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. Rish has a passion for finding ways that organizations can supplement critical thinking skills with collaboration, creativity and spontaneity – key elements of success that sometimes get lost in the corporate environment. In addition, he has used improvisation tools both in the US and abroad to run youth retreats, for community building and to help develop life skills. Rish is a founding member of several Bay Area improvisation troupes, including The Five Deadly Improvisers, with performances across the US. Rish has a degree in chemical engineering from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from Dartmouth University’s Tuck School of Business. He received his primary improvisational training from the BATS School of Improv in San Francisco.</p> <p>
